12 Common iPad Problems and Solutions -Part1

Apple products have the highest satisfaction in the tablet and PC industry. Statistics shows that 83% of Apple device owners are happy with their device followed closely by Amazon gadgets. In this post, we have reviewed the first part of 12 common iPad problems and provided some potential solutions to get rid of them.

1. My iPad Don't Turn On

With an Apple device, no dream is more horrible than when your expensive gadget turns off and refuses to turn on at all. Don't assume the worst, you may be able to revive your lovely iPad easier than you think.

Possible Solution:

1- First Try turning on your iPad by holding down the Home and Power button together until you see the Apple logo. For newer iPads that have no Home button, quickly press and release the Volume Up, the Volume down button then press and hold the power button until the device restarts.

2- It's possible that your iPad just have run out of battery. Plug your device into charger using its original charger that comes in the box and wait for a few minutes before trying to turn on your device.

3- If your iPad turns on but gets stuck during the bootup, perhaps you can restore your device using your computer and iTunes. Then plug it to your computer and repeat step one, except that this time don't let the power button go when you see the Apple logo. Keep holding the power button until you see the recovery-mode screen. If you are lucky enough, you will get into the recovery mode and you can reinstall iOS without wiping the data in your tablet.

4- If none of the above worked, you know what you have to do. Take your iPad to an Apple store or bring your iPad down to our shop in Melbourne and accept your iPad repair costs!

As you may head or read somewhere, the first guilty is the specific apps you recently installed, but you know, it's not always easy to identify and expel an infringer.

Possible Solution:

In the newer iPads, you should press and quickly release the Volume Up button, press and quickly release the Volume Down button, and then press and hold the Power button until the device restarts.

4- If your iPad seems don't want to wake up even with a forced restart, connect it to a computer, load up iTunes and Restore your device.

My iPad Won't Charge

If you find that your iPad won't charge when plugged to the power adaptor or computer, there is a lot of possibilities for it. First, try changing the lighting cable or plug it to another power source. If it is charging you will see the lighting symbol, else it will show Not Charging next to it.

Possible Solution:

1- Reboot your iPad to see if that helps.
2- Put your device in the Airplane mode and try to charge it again.
3- If neither changing power source and cable nor jump-starting your device solved the problem, perhaps there is a fault with the iPad charging system and you'll need to contact Apple.

3. My iPad Is Running Slow

When your iPad feels sluggish you may notice that animations are quivering or in the extreme cases, large apps like games will crash at startup. Certainly, it's not a problem every iPad user can live with it!

Possible Solution:

1- First, restart your device and check whether it injected fresh blood into your iPad veins.

2- To free up memory, kill/disable apps and games that are running in the background such a mail and pushup services.

3- Uninstall redundant apps or that require a lot of memory and device storage.

4. Apps on My iPad Are Crashing Randomly

A lot of iPad owners complain that apps are crashing frequently or the device reboots randomly. That's a syndrome observed more in old iPad models.

Possible Solution:

1- Older hardware may have a difficult time keeping up with the visual effects of the recent iOS. Reducing animation and transition rate may alleviate the problem. Go to Settings - General - Accessibility - Reduce Motion to reduce animations, and Settings - General - Accessibility - Increase contrast - Reduce transparency to reduce transparency.

2- Double-tap on the Home button (if any) and close background apps.

3- If none above solutions helped, you may want a factory reset your device. An option that often makes a lot of difference in the improvement of performance.
